How do locations and employee seats work?

Companies choose their location and employee capacity during signup. Owners can see usage such as 1/5 locations or 8/20 employee seats, then purchase more from the owner dashboard when they reach their limit.

How does weekly employee availability work?

Employees set their available days and times on first login and reconfirm them every Sunday. If an employee has not confirmed the current week, ShiftGrid keeps them out of new scheduling assignments until they update their availability, helping owners build rotas from current staff input.

Can staff use it on their phones without downloading an app?

Yes. ShiftGrid is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Staff can add it to their iPhone or Android home screen directly from the browser — it works like a native app with no App Store required.

Does ShiftGrid send emails?

Yes. The system can send company owner welcome emails, employee invite emails, account-added emails, removal notices, billing reminders, payment received emails, and admin test emails through the configured company mailbox.

Can a company turn employee email sign-in codes on or off?
